“ We have been looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant since moving here a year ago. Refuse to go anywhere that has " Queso" or " Chimichangas". Maize DLV did not disappoint. The restaurant definitely has a vibe and the place is bright and colourful. The food: I ordered the Birria Burrito, it was juicy with consommé, rice and beans. Felt like home. My partner had the chicken tinga tacos and said it was flavourful and tender. Of course the stars in both dishes were the homemade tortillas! For Dessert we had the flan and it a great end to a fantastic meal. We sat the chefs counter to observe. Runs like a well oiled wheel. Our server was Fabiola, she was personable and attentive. We will definitely be back. Buena Onda! ”

“ We always go to the food truck. Decided to try the restaurant, it did not disappoint. We ordered the taco salad with chicken, taco plate with cauliflower and flautas as an appetizer. Everything was delicious. The taco salad was delicious with very good dressing. The flautas were good but I kind of kind tired of eating them after just one. The taco plate was good too. I have to go back and try the quesabirria next time. The place is super cute and everyone was very nice. Great experience. ”

“ Maiz de la vida is a food truck located at the same address as chopper tiki bar. just off galatin). You have the choice of to-go or eating at the bar inside. First off, the food is excellent. The man at the window recommended the quesabirria and I'm glad he did. Ordering the consume is a must! Despite all the dining options in Nashville they managed to make the Tennesseans top 25 restaurants last year. They do have a second physical location on Clarksville pike, but I can't imagine the food is any better than the food truck! I will definitely be repeating! Friendly service, great food, fair prices! ”
